Our Nursery classes have been joining with many schools around the world and taking part in World Nursery Week 2022. The initiative, launched in 2013, promotes the importance of nursery rhymes in early childhood development and education with a particular focus on how nursery rhymes boost early language and literacy skills. Each day Nursery enjoyed a variety of activities based on one of our four nursery rhymes; 12345 Once I Caught a Fish Alive, 5 Little Speckled Frogs, Bingo and Twinkle Twinkle. Our Stay and Play with parents on Friday allowed us to showcase the rhymes we have been reviewing and share our environment and activities with our parents, grandparents and carers. A big thank you to all the adults that came to share in the day and to the children for joining in so beautifully.
