As the audience entered the theatre they were surrounded by oversized, brightly coloured mushrooms, a crumbling castle turret and an array of magical flowers. The curtains then opened on the first number, "Big Bright Beautiful World' and we were brought into the magical world of swamp land and an Enchanted Forest filled with magical fairy-tale creatures.

The Yr 5 Storytellers gave a level of performance beyond their years, exciting, focused and professional with the execution of this challenging show at an incredibly high standard. McCan Satayaprasert performance in the lead role of ‘Shrek’ was engaging and exciting, giving a sweetness to this memorable character. Taking the female lead role of 'Princess Fiona', Sophie Stratford was a 'triple threat': confident acting, perfect dancing and her beautiful singing voice filled the theatre in a ‘West-End worthy’ performance.

Jason Lin gave a captivating and dynamic performance as the awesome 'Donkey', he had the audience laughing wholeheartedly throughout with his effortless stage presence and comedic timing. Playing our brilliant villainess, Jai Dee Sinclair, was a character greatly enjoyed by our audience delivering her role with pizazz and enthusiasm. A memorable and exciting Performing Arts event that brought a smile to all of our faces here at BCB!
